8月15日，房新文总领事出席迪肯学院年度论坛并发表主旨演讲。房总领事指出，教育关乎人才培养和社会进步，承载维护和平、促进理解、搭建桥梁使命。中国政府提出全球发展倡议、全球安全倡议、全球文明倡议，为完善全球治理、应对世界变局、破解人类难题贡献了中国智慧和中国方案。房总领事介绍了中澳关系及领区对华合作最新进展，希望与澳方通过教育合作、人文交流携手共进，更好连通中澳民心、造福两国人民。

巴基斯坦、尼泊尔等国总领事，迪肯学院院长哈米德，维多利亚州高校、教育机构代表，各国学生代表等100余人参会。

ConsulGeneral Fang Xinwen Attends Deakin College Annual Conference and Delivers A Keynote Speech

On August 15, Consul General Fang Xinwen attended the Deakin College Annual Conference and delivered a keynote speech. He stressed that education is vital to cultivating talent and promoting social progress, and carries the mission of safeguarding peace, fostering understanding, and building bridges. Fang said that the Chinese government has proposed the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative, contributing Chinese wisdom and solutions to improving global governance, addressing changes in the world, and tackling challenges facing humanity. He also outlined the latest developments in China–Australia relations and cooperation between China and the consular district, expressing the hope that China and Australia could move forward hand in hand through educational cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, connecting the hearts of the two peoples and bringing benefits to both nations.

Over 100 participants attended the event, including the Consul Generals of Pakistan and Nepal, the Director of Deakin College Mr. Hamid Khattak, representatives from universities and educational institutions in Victoria, and student representatives from various countries.
